Who Are We?

Gurmex is a mobile application and content provider that helps travelers plan their journey, calculate time and gas costs, completely free of charge. Our software enables to discover restaurants, gastronomy routes and traditional flavors in different parts of the world, especially in Turkey. It allows different users to choose by reviewing their experiences, advice, comments and photos.

Users can plan routes and select points of interest from categories and subcategories within 10 square kilometers of the main route. Points of interest are displayed on the map. Mileage and gasoline costs are calculated. A trip can saved and it can be reused. Different users can take advantage of these routes for further local exploration. The application uses the Google Maps API. Gurmex only works on devices with IOS and Android operating systems.

Gurmex search accesses a database of more than 100000 interests. Users can also explore locations by choosing categories of interest. Categories include food and drink, restaurants, traditional flavors and more. Users can also read restaurant reviews, ratings, and comments.

Users with Gurmex account have the option to “save” locations, routes, restaurants, content of interest and interact with other users with a public profile. Gurmex “Discovery” is the section where selected countries, cities, restaurants or different areas of interest focused on gastronomy are listed. (Eg. “What to eat in Amsterdam?”, “Best 10 Restaurants in Bursa”, “Nutrition and Health” and “Activity Guide”).

Gurmex content covers only great restaurants and traditional flavors that should be visited and our unique database includes the most interesting places in the world. Gurmex helps people explore the world around them in a completely new way by transforming exploration, planning, booking and navigation into an engaging and intuitive process.

Build a route from point A to point B and discover what you love on the route. Our powerful route planner includes instant fuel cost estimation and the ability to discover the best places and local delicacies within a specified distance from your route.

Restaurants

Search and list the best restaurants nearby along your route. Browse reviews, recommendations, ratings and photos.You decide for the best option with advanced filtering, sort by scoring, search by author name and even pin color.

Explore and Save

Find and save the places you want to visit using our general categories, subcategories and unique search engine. The places that you save and your favorite maps are synced with your phone to seamless browsing.

Flavor Map

Gurmex is an encyclopedia of flavors for food and drink. List local and traditional delicacies nearby along your route. Check out the flavor photo, read the detailed information and decide for the best option.

We have added nearly 5000 meals and ingredients to our flavor map so far. For every country, city, district and even villages, we continue to list and promote their local ingredients, traditional dishes, hidden recipes and only the best restaurants.
